Bolivian Festival of Kung Fu Wushu Commemorates International Day of Taiji Quan 2015
On April 26 on Villarroel street in the city of La Paz, Bolivia, the Kung Fu Wushu Festival commemorated the International Day of Taijiquan 2015. The event was organized by the Bolivian Organization of Wushu, and it was well-attended by different schools of Wushu from Bolivia.
The event was also attended by the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Bolivia, Mr. Wu Yuanshan and the Cultural Attache of the PRC in Bolivia, Mr. Liu Hebao, who enjoyed the demonstrations of martial artists in the joint practice of Taiji Quan, traditional and modern styles. The event began with the words of encouragement aimed at practitioners of martial arts by the President of the Municipal Association of Kung Fu Wushu of La Paz, Ernesto Rodriguez Sanchez, and by Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Wu Yuanshan and President of the Bolivian Organization of Wushu, Fernando Huanacuni Mamani.
The festival attracted more than 150 participants showing different styles of traditional and sport Wushu, and a lion dance was performed by the "South Golden Dragon" School of Kung Fu. Shaolin Quan Bolivia and the School of Kung Fu Choy Lee Fat System "Nan Tien Men" gave various demonstrations, and of course Taijiquan was also highlighted. The event concluded with dancing dragon, and the presentation of certificates of participation and recognition of martial artists.
