The 6th Pars Wushu Cup

The Iran Wushu Federation reports that the 6th Pars Wushu Cup was held in Semnan, Iran, April 14-17. The Ghadir Salon saw the attendance of 14 teams. 200 athletes and coaches attended this event from 13 countries, including Iran (two teams), Belarus, Brunei, Singapore, Armenia, Bulgaria, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Lebanon, and Afghanistan.

The competitions included 9 Sanda weight categories and 10 Taolu events.

In final ranking, the Iran Pars team became the champion, the Indonesia team ranked second, and Brunei took third place. Iran Semnan team and India also took forth and fifth positions.

The 6th Pars Wushu Cup was broadcast live on TV in Iran. Also during this championships Iran Wushu Federation signed two MOU for assisting in the development of wushu with the Belarus and Bulgarian Wushu Federations.  

Prev: Wushu included as an official sport in the Brazilian University Sports League. Back
