The Islamic Solidarity Games, hosted by the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSA), has become a vital platform for sports exchange among Islamic nations since its inaugural edition in Saudi Arabia in 2005. Held every four years, the Games attract participation from 57 member countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America. In 2025, the sixth edition returns to Saudi Arabia from November 7-21, bringing together over 3,000 athletes competing in 23 official sports, showcasing the unity, diversity, peace and cooperation among Islamic nations.

Wushu has a profound connection with these Games, having been included as an official event twice in 2013 and 2017. The inclusion of wushu in this edition of the Games is attributed to the close collaboration between the International Wushu Federation and member federations such as the Egyptian Wushu Federation, I.R.Iran Wushu Federation, and Saudi Wushu Kung Fu Committee. The IWUF dispatched technical officials to provide comprehensive professional technical support and officiating for the wushu events, ensuring the fair, just, and smooth conduct of the competitions.
The next Islamic Solidarity Games will be held in the state of Selangor, Malaysia!
