The World Games 2029 Sports Programme

The World Games, organized by the IWGA and recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), are held every four years since 1981 and serve as the premier platform for non-Olympic sports worldwide. Wushu has been selected as an official sport for two consecutive World Games, which not only highly affirms its international influence and competitive level but also represents a significant achievement in the International Wushu Federation's (IWUF) ongoing strategy to promote the sport globally.

The IWUF placed great importance on the AGM and worked proactively. IWUF Vice President Anthony Goh and Secretary General Zhang Yuping attended the meeting, participating in the sport program review process, fully demonstrating the IWUF's firm determination and unremitting efforts to promote wushu worldwide.

In Chengdu 2025 The World Games Evaluation Report, wushu stood out prominently with its ticket sales ranking second among all sports, and the event organization received high praise. Furthermore, the Chengdu Organizing Committee delivered a comprehensive summary of the event, earning widespread acclaim.
