The Slogan and Medals for the HYX 2026 Oceania International Invitational Wushu Kung Fu Championships Have Been Officially Released

On May 7th, the release of the HYX Oceania International Invitational Wushu Kung Fu Championships 2026 slogan and medal design was held in Beijing, China.

IWUF Secretary General, Zhang Yuping, IWUF Honorary Vice President Liu Ruiqi, President of Beijing Sport University Zhang Jian, IWUF Deputy Secretary General Chen Chong, Deputy Director of the Wushu Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China Shen Zhengang, Chairman and General Manager of Hengyuanxiang Group, Chen Zhongwei, General Manager of China Sports International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co., Ltd. Lu Liang, Party Branch Secretary of the Chinese Wushu College of Beijing Sport University Cang Hai, Vice Chairman of IWUF Marketing and Development Committee Liu Xiaojin, Vice Chairman of IWUF Kungfu Committee, Mr. Luc Bendza, along with other distinguished guests and media representatives, attended the event. Shao Zhaoming, Chairman of the Event Organizing Committee and President of Kung Fu Wushu Australia Limited, and Elizabeth Lim, Wushu Promotion Ambassador for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, delivered speeches via video.

In her speech, Secretary General Zhang Yuping stated that international wushu promotion has continued to achieve breakthroughs, and the sport is developing well in Australia and the wider Oceania region. Currently, Oceania has nine IWUF-recognized member associations. This championships is the largest and highest-level international wushu event in Oceania, and the success of this event will further expand wushu's influence in the region, enhance its international reach, and open a new chapter in the development of wushu both in Oceania and internationally. Looking ahead, the IWUF will continue to work with more partners to further promote the popularization and development of wushu worldwide.

Chairman Chen Zhongwei stated that wushu is not only a competitive sport but also a healthy lifestyle shared by all of humanity. As the title sponsor of this championships, Hengyuanxiang Group is actively engaged in the global promotion of wushu and will be deeply involved in the promotional activities for the debut of wushu at the Dakar Youth Olympic Games this November. Next year, Hengyuanxiang will celebrate its 100th anniversary, and the Group will continue to invest in research and exploration related to wushu. In his video speech, Chairman Shao Zhaoming stated that the hosting of this Championships is an honor for Brisbane, and more importantly, it is the first time in the history of Australia and even Oceania that an international wushu event of such scale has been held. This is a significant milestone, marking that wushu is reaching every corner of the world and continuously growing and developing.

Ambassador Elizabeth Lim expressed her anticipation of making friends with athletes from around the world through wushu in Brisbane. Through this international event platform, she looks forward to showcasing the charm of wushu, inspiring and connecting with one another, sharing their passion, and jointly promoting the future development of wushu.

The event unveiled the Championship's slogan and medals. The slogan "Gathering in Oceania, Shaping a New Future through Wushu" embodies the mission of wushu's new development in Oceania, conveys the core values of unity, progress, and co-creating the future with wushu, and expresses a vision for the prosperous growth of wushu across Oceania.

The medal design is ingenious, seamlessly blending the cultural heritage of Oceania with the spirit of wushu. On the obverse side, the golden wattle branch serves as a highly representative cultural symbol of Oceania. As the national flower of Australia, it signifies resilience, hope, and vibrant vitality, capturing the essence of the championships' original vision—"Gathering in Oceania." At the center, dynamic and flowing lines depict the form and spirit of wushu, showcasing athletes' heroic and graceful presence in competition and echoing the uplifting energy of "Shaping a New Future through Wushu." The imagery of wushu practitioners answering the call of the golden wattle branch symbolizes wushu enthusiasts from around the world gathering in Oceania, allowing wushu culture to take deeper root and flourish endlessly on this vibrant land. On the reverse side, the championships' emblem is presented, surrounded by the engraved event name, with the ribbon design complementing the overall look, highlighting the championships' international stature and solemnity.

This championship will be held from May 21-25 in Brisbane, Australia, and is expected to attract over 180 wushu athletes from 11 countries and regions.

Since 2012, when Hengyuanxiang first signed a strategic partnership agreement with the International Wushu Federation (IWUF) for the 2012-2015 term, a deep collaboration between Hengyuanxiang and wushu began.
