On the evening of July 3, the 2026 IWUF International Wushu Judges Training & Certification Course and Wushu Judges Training Course for the 20th Asian Games successfully concluded in Haikou, China. A total of 166 wushu taolu and sanda judges from 39 countries and regions completed five days of intensive, systematic training and fulfilled all assessment requirements.

The closing ceremony was presided over by Jin Xiaobing, Chairman of the IWUF Judges' Committee. He noted that the training program featured lectures delivered by top wushu experts covering competition rules, scoring practices, and technical trends. For the first time, a dedicated course on prevention of competition manipulation was introduced in collaboration with the Olympic Council of Asia, reinforcing the judges' commitment to fair officiating, integrity, and ethical conduct. He encouraged all participants to remain true to their judging principles, uphold objectivity and fairness, and demonstrate professional excellence in competition.

Chan Weng Kit, Vice President of the International Wushu Federation and President of the Wushu Federation of Asia, addressed the ceremony. On behalf of the IWUF and the WFA, he extended sincere gratitude to all participants and instructors, with special thanks to the Olympic Council of Asia for its strong support, as well as to the Chinese Wushu Association, the Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports of Hainan Province, and China Sports International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co., Ltd. for their meticulous planning and full logistical support. He emphasized that this training not only provided a valuable platform for global wushu judges to exchange knowledge and experience, but also aligned judging standards and sharpened the professional skills of officials in preparation for the wushu competition at the 20th Asian Games.

Sherif Mostafa, Vice President of the IWUF, presented participation certificates to the instructors. Participants then took the stage to receive their training participation certificates and international wushu judge credentials. Finally, Chan Weng Kit officially declared the training course successfully closed.

The seven-day training course was hosted by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF), the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), and the Wushu Federation of Asia (WFA), and jointly organized by the Chinese Wushu Association, the Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports of Hainan Province, and China Sports International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co., Ltd. Participating judges from various countries expressed that their time in Haikou was highly rewarding, and they are committed to applying uniform and standardized judging standards to international wushu competitions, thereby contributing to the global development of the sport of wushu.
