The IWUF 4th Taolu World Cup is being held in Haikou, Hainan Province, from July 4-9. During the event, on July 6, the Mengniu Group and the IWUF signed a cooperation agreement, officially making Mengniu a Global Partner of the IWUF. Under this agreement, both parties will work together to promote the globalization of wushu and help the sport shine on the world stage.
IWUF Vice President Anthony Goh, Sherif Mostafa, Weng Kit Chan, and Patrick Van Campenhout, Secretary General Zhang Yuping, and Senior Executive President of Mengniu Group Li Pengcheng and Vice President Gu Ruizhen, attended the signing ceremony.
In his address, Anthony Goh noted that the partnership between the IWUF and Mengniu, bound by wushu and a shared commitment to health, marks the beginning of a collaborative journey to advance the global spread of wushu culture. At present, wushu is moving steadily towards higher quality, broader scope, and deeper development. This strategic partnership will pool greater strengths to promote the inheritance, development, and innovation of wushu to new heights, bringing wushu closer to the Olympic stage at an early date, and contributing positively to cultural exchanges and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
Li Pengcheng stated that sports and milk are natural allies, and that Mengniu and the IWUF are like-minded partners. Over more than two decades, Mengniu has cultivated a corporate spirit of "Born for greatness and Strive for your own best," which resonates deeply with the wushu spirit of "self-improvement and the pursuit of peace through wushu." The cooperation between the two sides not only reflects a shared spiritual resonance but also a mutual enhancement of their causes. As an official global sponsor of the FIFA World Cup and a global TOP partner of the International Olympic Committee, Mengniu will fully support wushu's bid to join the Olympic programme and help wushu reach the world.
Mengniu and the IWUF have a long-standing connection. As early as February this year, during the "China Night" event held alongside the Milan Winter Olympics, Mengniu announced its strategic cooperation with the IWUF. Now, as a Global Partner at the highest level, Mengniu will inject strong momentum into the globalization of wushu. In addition, Mengniu Senior Executive President Li Pengcheng received the title of Honorary Vice President of the IWUF, following approval at the 43rd IWUF Executive Board Meeting.
