The Olympic Museum, located in Lausanne, Switzerland, the “Olympic Capital,” has organized Olympic Week (Semaine Olympique) since 1981. The event lets local children and adolescents experience diverse sports firsthand and understand Olympic values through participation.
From October 11 to 15, 2026, the 45th Olympic Week will feature more than 40 free sports and cultural activities. Following a warmly received first appearance in 2025, the IWUF has again been invited to bring a rich wushu experience to local young people through interactive teaching, traditional weapon practice and demonstrations.
This year’s Olympic Week has special significance for wushu: the 2026 Dakar Youth Olympic Games will open on October 31, where wushu will appear for the first time as an official competition event.
Special Preview: Wushu Special Performance
The IWUF will present a public wushu performance at the main entrance of the Olympic Museum.

Smooth and flowing wushu routines will be performed on the iconic front square of the Olympic Museum, offering visitors a close-up experience of wushu’s balance of hardness and softness.
