The Online Training Camp for Wushu Taolu Athletes for the 2026 Dakar Youth Olympic Games, hosted by the International Wushu Federation, successfully concluded on September 21, 2026. The training camp was conducted in two stages, aiming to provide systematic and targeted preparation guidance for athletes and coaches participating in the wushu events of the Youth Olympic Games, and to help young wushu athletes around the world showcase their best performance on the Youth Olympic stage.

The first stage of the training camp was held from September 1-4 in the form of open courses for athletes and coaches participating in the wushu events of the Youth Olympic Games. The courses provided systematic instruction focused on the technical key points, interpretation of judging rules, and training methods of the 3rd Set International Wushu Competition Routines of Changquan, Gunshu, Taijiquan, and Taijishan. The IWUF invited experienced technical experts and coaches to provide instruction. Through online lectures, movement demonstrations, and interactive Q&A, they helped participants fully understand the technical key points and competition requirements of the wushu taolu events at the Youth Olympic Games.

The second stage took place from September 7-21, and provided one-on-one specialized instruction for athletes and coaches from 11 African countries competing in the Youth Olympic Games. The IWUF assigned a team of high-level experts and interpreters to tailor training plans for each athlete, providing precise diagnosis and targeted reinforcement based on their technical strengths, movement details, and weak points. By observing the athletes' routine performances in real time, the experts corrected movement deviations one by one and offered improvement suggestions, implementing a "one person, one plan" approach and teaching according to each individual's aptitude. At the same time, the expert team also held in-depth exchanges with coaches to help them better understand athletes' individual differences and enhance their ability to coach in a personalized way. Through repeated demonstrations, immediate feedback, and targeted practice, the competitive level of African athletes and the quality of their preparation for the Youth Olympic Games were comprehensively improved.

This online training camp is an important measure by the IWUF to promote the balanced global development of wushu and support the growth of young wushu athletes. Through the online platform, the training camp broke through geographical limitations and achieved efficient and flexible remote instruction, providing a rare opportunity for learning and improvement for young wushu athletes and coaches around the world. More than 200 people participated in the training camp. Participants expressed that the content was practical and highly targeted and had important guiding significance for preparing for the Youth Olympic Games.

The IWUF has always been committed to providing technical support and training for its member associations. In the future, it will continue to deepen the training model combining online and offline methods to promote the popularization and development of wushu worldwide.
