On October 5, the 2026 General Assembly of the Association of IOC Recognised International Sports Federations (ARISF) was held at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland. Representatives from International Sports Federations gathered to discuss topics including the development of the Olympic Movement and international sports governance.
The General Assembly, under the theme “Fit for the Future,” focused on core issues such as the implementation of ARISF’s strategic plan and the improvement of member services. It reviewed practical outcomes in key areas, including anti-doping, sports good governance, protection of athletes’ rights, prevention of competition manipulation, and sports sustainability. The Assembly also reviewed the 2025 annual report and financial report, and discussed organizational governance matters such as adjustments to Executive Committee members.

As the International Federation recognized by the IOC for the governance of wushu, the International Wushu Federation (IWUF) has been an ARISF member since 2002. IWUF Vice President Anthony Goh attended the General Assembly as its representative, exchanged views with representatives of other International Federations, actively participated in matters related to the Olympic Movement, and promoted international exchange and development of wushu.
