NF News | 2024 National Wushu Taolu Championships (Taijiquan Competition) Successfully Concludes in China

On the afternoon of June 5, 2024 National Wushu Taolu Championships (Taijiquan Competition) came to a successful end in Ankang, Shaanxi, China, after 4 competition days with 8 competition sessions.

As the annual specialized event of taijiquan with the highest specification and level in China, this competition attracted 430 participants from 46 units from all over the country. Athletes not only demonstrated their exquisite skills and styles, but also interpreted the positive sports spirit in practical actions.

The competition consisted of 18 disciplines, including men's and women's Optional Taijiquan, Taijijian, Chen Style, Yang Style, Wu Style, Wu (hao) Style and Sun Style Taijiquan, 42 Forms Taijiquan and 42 Forms Taijijian. As the national team trial for the 4th World Taijiquan Championships, this competition is not only a collective "review" of Chinese Taijiquan athletes, but also an important "drill” before the World Taijiquan Championships, in order to demonstrate the sportsmanship of Chinese wushu athletes in the international competition stage.

In the coming August 21-28, the IWUF 4th World Taijiquan Championships will be held in Singapore. Let's look forward to witnessing more exciting performances of Chinese athletes in the competition!
