From May 29 to June 4, the 2026 IWUF International Wushu Judges Training & Certification Course and Coachers Training Course, hosted by the IWUF, were successfully held in Pordenone, Italy.

The training attracted nearly 100 wushu Judges and coaches from 20 countries and regions worldwide. Lecturers and teaching assistants appointed by the IWUF participated in the instruction and related activities throughout the event.

Andrea Delle Vedove, Mayor of Cordenons, Italy; Alberto Basso, Representative of the Municipality of Porcia; Davide Cordenons, City Councilor of Pordenone; Gaspardo Narciso, Italian Minister of Transport; Vincenzo Drago, President of the Federazione Italiana Wushu Kungfu; Sebastiano Ettore Spoto, Secretary General of the Italian Wushu Federation; Liu Yuwei, Head of the International Affairs Department; Dorino De Crignis, Representative of the Pordenone Olympic Center; and Yang Haibin from the Confucius Institute at the University of Padua attended this event.
Marcus Alves, IWUF Executive Committee member, and Jin Xiaobing, Chairman of the IWUF Judges’ Committee, attended the closing ceremony. In his speech, Marcus Alves thanked the Federazione Italiana Wushu Kungfu for its outstanding contributions to the successful organization of the training and for its efforts in promoting the development of wushu and talent cultivation in Italy.

The training adopted an integrated teaching model combining theoretical instruction, practical drills, and technical practice. Comprehensive teaching covered core areas such as wushu competition rules, refereeing standards, coaching techniques, and training systems, ensuring high quality training and effective learning outcomes.
After one week of systematic study and rigorous assessment, 38 participants successfully obtained international wushu judge certification, and 22 passed the international wushu coach assessment.
Looking ahead, the IWUF will continue to address the needs of wushu’s international development, aiming to cultivate high level international judges and coaches. Through systematic training and standardized assessment, the IWUF will build a pool of professional talent to support the high quality growth of global wushu.
