On August 12, 2026, the Royal Moroccan Wushu Federation held a recognition ceremony for outstanding wushu figures at the China Cultural Center in Rabat. Among those in attendance were Chinese Ambassador to Morocco Yu Jinsong, President of the Royal Moroccan Wushu Federation Abderrahman Esanaghi, the Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy, and Liu Chengang, Director of the China Cultural Center in Rabat.
Ambassador Yu extended her congratulations to the awardees and praised the active participation of Moroccan youth in wushu. She stated that the Chinese Embassy would continue to give full support to the promotion of wushu in Morocco, deepen sports exchanges and cooperation between China and Morocco, and use wushu as a bond to enhance friendship between the two peoples.
In his address, President Abderrahman Esanaghi thanked the Embassy for its long-standing strong support for the promotion of wushu. He highly commended the important role of the "Ambassador Cup" wushu competition in discovering and nurturing outstanding wushu talent, and encouraged the award-winning athletes to continue to carry forward the spirit of wushu and achieve even better results in the future.
