The 9th World Junior Wushu Championships in 2024 will be held from September 22nd to 30th in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. It is hosted by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF) and organized by the Wushu Federation of Brunei Darussalam. The event has attracted 498 athletes from 50 countries and regions.
The World Junior Wushu Championships (WJWC) is a world championship pinnacle event that is hosted by the IWUF and features wushu’s junior athletes, boys and girls, competing every two years since 2006 in both taolu and sanda.

As of September 28, the 9th World Junior Wushu Championships has produced a total of 62 gold medals. Among them, China is currently leading the tally with 10 gold medals and 1 bronze medal; Malaysia is currently in the second position with 9 gold medals, 10 silver medals and 5 bronze medals; and the third place is taken by Indonesia with a total of 7 gold, 8 silver and 6 bronze medals. Host Brunei won 3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze. In addition, Republic of Korea, USA, Japan, Turkmenistan and Egypt collected their first gold medals in the event. Australia achieved a medal breakthrough in the competition today.

As of September 28, the 9th World Junior Wushu Championships produced a total of 57 gold medals in the taolu event..
On the fourth competition day of the taolu events, there were eighteen competitions: Men's Taijijian A, Women's Taijijian A, Men's Nangun A, Men's Daoshu C, Women's Daoshu C, Men's Jianshu C, Women's Jianshu C, Men's Qiangshu B, Women's Qiangshu B, Men's Nangun B, Women's Nangun A, Men's Gunshu A, Women's Gunshu A, Women's Nangun B, Men's Gunshu B, Women's Gunshu B, Men’s Taijijian C, and Women’s Taijijian C. 18 gold medals were produced, respectively.

Men's Taijijian A
In this event, SEONGHYEON SUN from Republic of Korea won the Gold Medal with a score of 9.146, which is the first medal for Republic of Korea in this competition. Chao Hsiang CHEN of Chinese Taipei won the silver medal with a score of 9.076 and Yann NGUYEN of France won the bronze medal with a score of 9.060.
Women's Taijijian A
In this event, China's Yilin Zhang won the gold medal with a score of 9.243, Chinese Taipei's Yu Tzu LIU won the silver medal with a score of 9.150 and Brunei's Yee Sean LIM won the bronze medal with a score of 9.083.
Men’s Nangun A
In this event, Guan Sheng SING of Malaysia won the gold medal with 9.190, Yoones KHODAEI of Iran won the silver medal with 9.130, and CHOU FONG LEONG of Macao, China won the bronze medal with 9.126.
Men’s Daoshu C
In this event, Canada's RYAN CHENGKUN GAO won the gold medal with a score of 8.460, the USA's Maximus CROUGHWELL won the silver medal with 8.403, and the USA's Arnie YIM won the bronze medal with 8.316.
Women’s Daoshu C
In this event, Team USA's Rylee Kate FUNG won the gold medal with a score of 8.486, which was the first gold for Team USA in this competition. Canada's THEA JIA DONG won the silver medal with a score of 8.350 and Singapore's HUI EN TAN won the bronze medal with a score of 8.300.

In this event, Zivan Abimanyu RASENDRIA of Indonesia won the gold medal with 8.540, Seyedarsham KHALILPOURARDEHA of Iran won the silver medal with 8.430, and ABDENNOUR DARDOURI of Tunisia won the Bronze Medal.

In this event, Japan's Yurino IMAI won the gold medal with a score of 8.843, which was Japan's first gold in this event. Ria NG of Singapore won the silver medal with 8.820 and Hsin Ling HU of Chinese Taipei won the bronze medal with 8.816.

Wushu Sanda Competitions Overview
On the third competition day of the sanda event, five events, Boy’s Group Junior 75kg, Boy’s Group Junior 80kg, Boy’s Group Children 42kg, Boy’s Group Children 45kg, and Boy’s Group Children 56kg, went to the final rounds, resulting in five gold medals. Among them, Iran and Egypt have now won two gold medals each and Turkmenistan has won one gold medal.
