As World Wushu-Kungfu Day 2026 (WWKD 2026) approaches on August 8, we warmly invite you to take an active role in this global celebration. To help make your community activities a great success, we have prepared a range of resources and materials for your use.

2026 WWKD Theme
This year's WWKD theme is:
"Welcome Youth Olympics – Together, Move with Wushu, Shine with Wushu Spirit"
(Chinese: 迎青奥,共起武,展风采 / Yíng Qīng'ào, Gòng Qǐ Wǔ, Zhǎn Fēngcǎi)
By uniting IWUF members and wushu enthusiasts worldwide, we aim to build powerful momentum for wushu's historic debut at the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games this October.

Join the Celebration
We encourage your wushu community to celebrate WWKD with creativity and enthusiasm. A wide range of activities is welcome, including performances, exhibitions, competitions, seminars, forums, action challenges, and any other innovative wushu-related events. Here are some ideas to get you started:
Stage public demonstrations at symbolic locations.
Encourage daily practice sessions in public parks and fitness spaces to make wushu accessible to all.
Host conferences, seminars, and inclusive events with children, families, teachers, and community leaders.
Launch media and social media campaigns—such as action challenges—to drive engagement.
Distribute certificates and commemorative items to mark participation.
Partner with NGOs, schools, and local authorities to amplify the message.

Share Your Celebrations with Us
We have received many wonderful submissions showcasing past WWKD celebrations, and we hope to connect with you on IWUF media more than ever this year. Everyone is encouraged to post photos and videos from your WWKD events, tag @IWUF official accounts on social media (Facebook/X/Instagram/Weibo/Douyin/WeChat), and use the hashtags #WWKD2026 and #IWUF to share how you're celebrating.
Let's celebrate the Youth Olympics spirit through wushu this WWKD 2026! We look forward to continuing to work together to advance the global wushu movement on August 8 and beyond.
